Saving myself a bunch of multiple plurks...

I'm wrestling with the same dilemma.  I'm finding it a 'roller coaster' at times.  However, I've delved into whole other worlds of discovery but more importantly I'm constantly refining those sites, tools & places.  For example, I'm much more selective with pages & times of discovery on T61. It has 'grown me up' in many ways to explore the numerous & constantly developing sites & tools out there for discovery & exploration.  I don't always need to be fed from singular sources. However, I know that is better for listeners with less time or only more 'normal' time to spend. I'm also overcoming a significant problem that I've encountered in my new mode...info overload.  I'm progressively exploring, adding & dropping sites with my tools on an ongoing basis so as to develop and maintain a core that I'm regularly on checking.  When something doesn't yield as much material or either overlaps & duplicates, I either drop it or put it in cue for less regular visits. It keeps the sources manageable, realistic, diverse & enjoyable. The variety & eclecticness is now starting to make it exciting for me. I like managing my own discovery now although I admit making it organized & manageable was a daunting task at first.  I've had to throw my discovery postings over to my gafhptva.soup.io page so as to not throw a ton of crap at everyone of plurk.  So it has cut down on my plurking but hasn't ended it nor do I envision that having to happen. It is a tough balance I must admit. I haven't 'figured' it out yet but it helps me on T61 discovery & just with the friendships in general. I haven't yet found a plurk/soup.io/tumblr/T61 site to use my Songbird on yet...lol.
